Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 19, 2026

Effective date: July 19, 2026

1. The Short Version

ecomlabs360.com sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The Site uses one optional tool that does set cookies: Google Analytics, which helps us see which pages actually help visitors. It stays completely off until you press "Accept analytics" in the consent banner. If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are set and nothing is sent to Google. The one consent-free exception is our invisible bot protection (Section 5), which keeps automated spam out of our forms, qualifies as strictly necessary under EU law, and is never used to track you across sites.

2. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device to remember information between pages or visits. Related browser technologies (localStorage, sessionStorage) can store similar data. EU law (the ePrivacy Directive and GDPR) requires consent before non-essential cookies are set; strictly necessary ones are exempt.

3. How This Site Works

  • Free tools: the Breakeven ROAS Calculator keeps your scenario in the page URL, not in cookies or browser storage. Copying the URL is how you save or share a scenario.
  • Forms: the contact form and calculator email report are simple one-shot submissions guarded by an invisible bot check (Section 5). The Site has no login, so no session cookies are kept.
  • Analytics: measured only with your consent, as described in Section 4. Server logs (see the Privacy Policy) cover security needs without any browser-side tracking.

4. Optional Analytics Cookies (Google Analytics)

With your consent we run Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site usage: which pages are read, where visitors arrive from, and which content leads people to try our free tools or contact us. We use it to make the Site more useful, never to identify you, build advertising profiles, or follow you to other sites.

Nothing loads before you choose. The Google Analytics script is not even fetched until you press "Accept analytics". Decline and your visit involves no contact with Google at all.

Cookies set only after you accept:

Cookie Purpose Duration
`_ga` Distinguishes visitors using a random, pseudonymous identifier Up to 2 years
`_ga_YMVBEKW90T` Keeps session state for this site's Analytics property Up to 2 years

To remember your decision (whichever it is), we keep a small entry in your browser's localStorage (`el360-consent-v1`). It contains only the choice itself and a timestamp, and it is strictly necessary for honoring that choice.

Changing your mind. Use the Cookie choices link in the footer at any time. Withdrawing consent stops all measurement immediately and deletes the `_ga` cookies from your browser. Withdrawal is as easy as consent: one click either way.

Google processes this data on our behalf; the details, legal basis, retention, and international transfer safeguards are in the Privacy Policy.

5. Strictly Necessary Infrastructure and Bot Protection

Our hosting platform (Vercel) may set a strictly necessary technical cookie in limited operational scenarios (for example, protected preview environments used during development). Normal visits to the public Site do not receive such cookies. If you ever observe one, it exists solely for infrastructure delivery and never for tracking.

Bot protection (Vercel BotID). Our forms send email, which makes them a target for automated spam. To tell machines from humans we run Vercel BotID, an invisible verification layer that loads with the Site and is checked when a protected form is submitted. It evaluates technical browser and device signals and may keep short-lived technical state in your browser strictly for that classification. It shows no puzzles, sets no advertising identifiers, and is never used for cross-site tracking or profiling. Under the ePrivacy rules this is strictly necessary and exempt from consent, which is why it runs without appearing in the consent banner. How the data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.

6. If We Add More Cookies or Tools

This section is a standing promise, and we have kept it once already: when Google Analytics was added on July 19, 2026, this policy was updated first, the cookies were listed in the table above, and the consent banner was introduced before any analytics cookie could be set. Any future tool that stores data in your browser will follow the same process: policy update first, full cookie table, and consent before anything non-essential is set for EU/EEA/UK visitors.

7. Managing Cookies in Your Browser

Beyond the consent banner and the footer's Cookie choices link, you can control cookies globally in your browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies
  • Firefox: Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Settings, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings, then Cookies and site permissions
